At Guymon Orthodontics we cater treatment to your unique needs. We also believe in the importance of new technology and research in the orthodontic field. Below is a list of the types of treatment we offer, we will work with you to find out which fits you best.

Metal Braces

Traditional braces are more effective at treating extreme overcrowding than other options like clear braces or Invisalign aligners and are less expensive. They give your orthodontist the control he needs to move the teeth in small increments at a time. While less noticeable orthodontics like Invisalign are a good choice for those who are conscious of their appearance, today’s metal braces are more visually appealing with a range of color options for both the brackets and the elastics. Wearing this type of braces also means that you don’t have to worry about ever misplacing your aligners.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth. For this reason, ceramic braces are frequently used on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene, as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth.

We are Invisalign certified. Invisalign is a clear-aligner treatment that utilizes a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable acrylic trays that straighten your teeth like braces. Invisalign gradually straightens and aligns your teeth. We monitor your progress with a projection of your final results provided after the initial 3D scan of your mouth. These aligners are removable, allowing you to eat and drink what you want during treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less problematic. Best of all, the aligners are comfortable.
