We custom fit retainers to help with the transition. They hold onto your new smile so that every other part of your mouth can catch up and adjust to it, thereby making it a permanent improvement. The more you use your retainer, the better your treatment will hold.
There are generally two types of retainers: removable and permanent. Each type comes with a variety of options, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Removable retainers are generally worn only at certain times of the day or night, and can be removed while you eat, or clean. We’ll make sure you go home with a handy case to keep track of them.
Permanent retainers won’t get lost, but they do require a little extra care and attention as you clean your teeth.
We’re happy to discuss which option we think is best for you and review the pros and cons of each more thoroughly when the time comes. Until then, we’ll keep working with you to get your smile just right.
“I can’t say thank you enough for giving my daughter a beautiful smile!”
