At Guymon we’re listeners, collaborators, and experts—all in that order. As a new patient, your first visit is all about building a plan that works for you, and determining together where you’d like to take your orthodontic treatment. We do some of our most important work before you ever get to the chair.

Finding your perfect treatment

It’s important to recognize that orthodontic treatment and appliances vary depending on your needs and preferences. We use metal, ceramic, or Invisalign trays depending on your situation. We work with both removable and permanent appliances to make sure you’re getting the care best suited for you. The duration of treatment also depends on your particular case and your particular needs. We’ll be with you at every step, making sure you feel confident and comfortable.

Your First Visit

Let’s take a quick walkthrough of what you can expect. We like to keep things casual, which is why on your first visit, you’ll get to know everyone on our team, take a tour of the office, receive a gentle initial exam, and discuss which treatment options best fit your needs.

Here’s the breakdown for your first time here:

  • A quick review of your dental and medical history forms
  • A thorough oral exam, with X-rays, to determine whether treatment is necessary
  • A one-on-one session to help you create a customized treatment plan
  • A financial consultation to talk through insurance options and payment plans

What happens next?

After your consultation, we’ll schedule your first appointment at your convenience so your doctor can place your new orthodontic appliance. Your comfort and trust is our top priority. And, we’ll make sure to let you know exactly what we’re doing before we do it.”

  1. Complimentary exam
  2. Records appointment
  3. Bonding appointment
